Welcome to Palms De Luz, Palms of Light, located one block from S Palm Canyon Dr. and three blocks from coveted southern Downtown Palm Springs. Walking distance to Starbucks, Yoga studios, markets, Townie Bagels and all of the downtown restaurants, this spacious, remodeled duplex offers everything your vacation to Palm Springs will need, including gorgeous San Jacinto mountain views from every angle of the property. It is also two blocks from the famous “Palm Springs Draw” on Riverside Dr. where all the locals take their walks, runs and bike rides daily.

The west side of the duplex is a two bedroom / two-bathroom 1,200-square-foot space that is made to be enjoyed inside and out.

The kitchen has been completely (top to bottom) renovated with new appliances, and a sleek, bright and open feel.

The living area is furnished with gorgeous mid-century furniture and colors, as well as a queen sized pullout bed in the sofa.

The outdoor space features a 6-seat dining area and a Weber propane grill, which makes it perfect for dining among the palms. There is also ample front patio space to lounge in the sun in a hammock or lounge chairs.

The inside is equipped with all cooking needs, new and comfortable king and queen beds, as well as the sofa sleeper. There is WiFi and cable. Plush towels. New windows. The Entertainer has its own private parking space and driveway, as well as easy street parking, and washer and dryer access.

It offers all of the comforts of home, and maybe more.

The Crashpad

This adorable, large one-bedroom / one-bathroom is situated on the East side of the property. It also includes its own kitchen, living room, parking space, driveway, completely separate entrances, and outdoor space. The also 1.200-square-foot one-bedroom offers a large, light and vibrant office space that features an additional twin sofa bed.

Also re-modeled, the look of The Crash Pad is slightly more cozy, featuring overstuffed furniture, new countertops and sink, an overall comfy vibe that can accommodate smaller grandchildren and family. It also has WiFi, regular cable and a RoKu television.

The bed is a king-sized bed, and as mentioned, it has one twin sofa sleeper in the office.

The outdoor space on this side was turned into a lounge vibe offering direct access to the patio from the sliding glass doors in the bedroom and through the office. It’s fabulous for morning coffee, or happy hour cocktails while basking in the Palm Springs sun.

What Makes Us Special

What I adore about this space:

It can be rented as a two-bed, or one-bed, or as the whole complex. Let’s say children, and maybe their children are coming to visit during time enjoying the Palm Springs area: GREAT! Rent the whole space. There’s a possibility to stay together, but live separately; and everyone can see as much, or as little of each other as wanted. This same approach can work with friends who may or may not be staying in the desert as long. If there are not guests to plan on, just rent one side that is accommodates the vacation needs.

The two driveways and two entries make it possible for Palms De Luz to be two separate living spaces. As a complex, it can house up to 8 people comfortably and independently. As a two-bedroom it can house 5 comfortably, and as a one-bedroom it can easily sleep 3.

It’s a block from southern downtown Palm Springs, but it’s nestled in its own neighborhood, so the noise of the outside world goes away once settled in. Favorite local spots are literally a five-minute walk away: Townie Bagels, Pete’s Hideaway, The Palm Canyon Roadhouse Bar and Grill, Wang’s in the Desert. Or, if someone is feeling lucky, The Agua Caliente Casino is half a mile up the street.

Everything’s new. And shiny. The space is spacious, but not overwhelming with maintenance. It’s such a special slice of Palm Springs living.

Also! (And this is very exciting to me because I am a writer and writing coach.) Palm Springs is a wonderful place to create, so, Attention Artists, house a retreat! Stay in the one bedroom, offer participants the two-bedroom and create your special workshops on the large patio while staring into the San Jacinto Mountains.
